In his welcome speech, the Rector of Unimus stated that to internationalize the vision of the Faculty of Dentistry, it had to be really implemented, including in the curriculum and international-level learning process. “The curriculum of the Faculty of Dentistry should be able to adopt the international-standardized curriculum so that the graduates of the Faculty of Dentistry of Unimus would be able to compete and be equal to other institutions in the international sphere. The field assessment aims to clarify the data in the portfolio that has been submitted along with the physical evidence of the study program. The first-day visitation began with a presentation about the faculty by drg. Budiono, M.Pd., the Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry at Unimus, followed with a discussion session with the senior leaders of the University, faculties, and study programs. During the session, Prof. Dr. Chiquita, one of the assessors, stated that the vision of the faculty had been really good but how it could make our dentists get internationally accepted needed to be considered. The following activity was physical evidence checking. On the second day, the agenda included survey of the facilities and infrastructure, including KRMT Wongsonegoro Regional Hospital and Dental and Oral Hospital of Unimus where the students did field practices. After that, the field assessment was continued to visit classrooms, laboratories, and libraries before ended with presentation of the assessment results by the assessors.

The Dentistry Program at Unimus has a vision “to become an educational provider of dentistry of precious persons, based on technology and internationally competitive in 2030.” Hopefully the results will be maximal, following the A and B accreditations of other study programs at Unimus. The achievement of the dentistry program will complete the credo of Unimus, which is to become “A University for the excellence”.
