Kualalumpur | (16/08/2019) The demand of international curriculum-based class in higher education institution recently, Faculty of Nursing and Health Science in Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang prepare international class program with several universities in Malaysia.

The process of signing Memorandum of Action (MoA) was conducted by FIKKES UNIMUS and Faculty of Health and Life Science (FHLS) Management and Science University (MSU) Malaysia on 14 August 2019. This agenda was attended by Prof. Dr Eddy Yusuf (Vice President Global Network and Strategic Planning), Assoc Prof Dr Sairah Abdul Karim (Dean FHLS) and Assoc Prof Dr Indang Arianti Arifin (Deputy Dean Student Affairs, International Medical School) as the representatives from MSU. Whereas, Unimus sent Vice Dean I, Dr Tri Hartiti and Vice Dean II, Dr Ali Rosidi, and Head of Study Programs and Secretaries of S1/D3 Nursing Department, S1/D3 Nutrition Department, S1 Food Technology Department and D4/D3 Medical Laboratory Technology.

Previously, on 15/8/2019 signing MoA between FIKKES Unimus and Lincoln University College (LUC) Malaysia was conducted to initiate International class in Nursing and Health Analyst Study Program. Attended on the agenda from LUC were; Dato Dr Mohd Yusuf Abu Bakar (Deputy Vice Counchellor of Student Affairs and Internationalization) and Ms Lina Tio (Director International Marketing).

The result of the MoA signing was the initiation of Program 3+1+1. This program means 3-year program in Unimus and 1-year program in MSU. After that, students can directly continue the study to post-graduate program for one year. Whereas, LUC and Unimus will conduct international class (3+1) in Nursing and Health Analyst Study Program.

“I do expect that this program can be immediately run, at least in 2020 student enrolment, where many candidate will look for international class and double degree” said Vice Dean I of Fikkes in Unimus, Dr. Tri Hartiti.
