The participants of the futsal competition is playing in the futsal court of Unimus.

Semarang, August 7, Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (Unimus) will hold a futsal competition for Senior/Vocational High Schools in Semarang City from August 7 (today) through August 9, 2017. The competition a part of a series of events held to celebrate the 18th anniversary of Unimus, continuing the previously-held Poco-poco Nusantara, futsal, volleyball, and badminton competitions for Unimus’ employees, as well as Tahajjud prayer and Shubuh prayer in congregation, and green walk.

The futsal competition is planned to be held annually to celebrate Unimus’ anniversary, involving senior/vocational high schools in Semarang. Besides, the competition aims at promoting Unimus to high school students in Semarang, and even Central Java province. Vice Rector II of Unimus (Dr. Sri Rejeki. S.Kp, Ns, M.Kep, Sp.Mat) in her welcome speech stated that winning and losing in a competition is a common thing so in the competition, sportiveness and teamwork should be put in the first place. “This competition would be a good lesson for next generations. It teaches that teamwork is needed to succeed and develop the country” she explained. On the occasion, the Vice Rector II also revealed that the participants, who are still high school students, are the next generations that need to be guided and taught properly, taught about sportiveness, which can be done through this futsal competition.
