Dr. Dra. Mufnaetty, M.Ag and her promotors, co-promotors and board of examiners after accomplishing Doctorate Promotion

Semarang │UNIMUS (09/08/2018) Lecturer from Institute of Islamic and Muhammadiyah Studies (Lembaga Studi Islam dan Kemuhammadiyahan/LSIK) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang, Mufnaetty has successfully accomplished her study in Doctorate Program of Management Education Science at Post-Graduate Program of Unnes. Her examination was promoted by  Prof. Dr. Masrukhi, M. Pd as Promotor and Prof. Dr. Totok Sumaryanto, M.Pd as Co-Promotor and Dr. Titi Prihatin, M.Pd as the member of Promotor. By presenting research-based disertation entitled “Model Pelatihan Berbasis  Nilai-Nilai Kemuhammadiyahan Bagi Guru Taman Kanak-Kanak ‘Aisyiyah  Bustanul Athfal”, Mufnaetty affirmed her disertation on Thursday, 09 August 2018 achieving GPA of 3,63. Mufanaetty becomes the 210th Doctor Doctorate Program of Management Education Science at Post-Graduate Program of Unnes.

In this occasion, energetic lecturer, as well as amazing mother of 4 sons and vigorous grandmother of 7 grandchildren explained that teacher (as a educator) has important role in developing her students potential. That is why teacher capabilities in teaching are required as to prepare good learning process, thus this can be improved by joining workshop or training. In addition, systematic and well-organized worksop/training will create qualified teachers. “The needs for Kindergarten’s teachers of ‘Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal’ participation on the Muhammadiyah value-based training is very significant because one of teacher’s responsibilities is to grow Muhammadiyah value inside students’ heart” she ended.

Achmad Slamet, M.SiImplementing Research and Development methodology, Mufnaetty did her research on Kindegarten’s teacher of ‘Aisyiyah Bustanull Athfal’ in Semarang. “There are at least 8 values developed in model for establishing training for teachers of ‘Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal’ Kindergarten such as oneness (ketauhidan), religious, solicitousness (perhatian), honesty (kejujuran), steadfastness (istiqamah), independency (mandiri), hardworking, and creativity. The findings of the research indicated that Muhammadiyah value-based training is significantly enhance teacher’s creativity and performance” Mufnaetty elaborated. As the Regional Executive of Aisyiyah member, Mufnaetty added that the model she developed has been adjusted to Kindergarten teachers’needs. “This model can be implemented in training program for Kindergarten’s teacher of ‘Aisyiyah Bustanul Athfal in Semarang” she affirmed. She also has high expectation that her findings would not only give contribution to Muhammadiyah organization but also to the learning outcome of national education.

Prof. Dr. Masrukhi, as the Promotor and Rector of Unimus expressed that Dr. Mufnaetty is able to inspire another young lecturers to take or accomplish their Doctoral Degree. “By having several new doctors, it is expected that Unimus can improve its potential and quality in providing services to students as well as enhancing self-improvement for being professional lecturer.” said the Rector. “Dr. Mufnaetty’s eight values model for teacher training is universal so it gives positive contribution to education development in Indonesia.”
