Semarang | (03/11/2019) Sport invitation is common thing to be conducted by higher education institution. Recently, Unimus received sport invitation from “Invitasi Kopertis VI Jawa Tengah 2019″ by conducting sport competitions in badminton, table tennis, and outdoor tennis. Located in multipurpose building (Gedung Serba Guna)in Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (Unimus), the opening ceremony of sport invitation was conducted. This competition was participated by 38 contingent from private higher education institutions in Central Java on 1 – 3 November 2019.
The venue for the competition used were GSG and Outdoor tennis courts in Unimus and Sport Center (GOR) Tri Lomba Juang. It was stated by the chairperson, Dr. Samsudi Rahardjo, MM., MT that numbers of sport invitation was 547 participants. At that time, Rector of Unimus, Prof. Dr. Masrukhi, M.Pd. also attended the opening ceremony. He explained that the sport event held in Unimus in 2019 showed that this sport invitation agenda was a momentum to facilitate and strengthen the silaturahmi between private universities in LLDIKTI Regional VI Central Java. “We do believe that the organisation of this event would be succeed. Furthermore, Chairperson of LLDIKTI Regional VI, Prof. Dr. DYP Sugiharto, M.Pd. Kons stated that this sport events was aimed at strengthening the relationship (silaturahmi) of lecturers and administration staff across higher education institution in Private higher education institution in Central Java. Therefore, Universitas Muhammadiyah Purwokerto turned to be general champion of the sport invitation 2019. List of the following were the winners of the competition:
