
Semarang │(01/08/2018) The National Working Meeting (Rakernas) of Association of Muhammadiyah Public Health Higher Education (APTKMMI) was held in the Faculty of Public Health (01/08/2018). This activity was participated by 12 Muhammadiyah Higher Education Institutions (PTM) organizing Public Health of Indonesia. This agenda was officially opened by Prof. Dr. Masrukhi as Rector of Unimus. This activity was also attended by Secretary of Higher Education and Research & Development Council, Central Board of Muhammadiyah, Muhammad Sayuti, M.Pd., M.Ed, PhD and Prof. Dr. drg. H. Sudibyo, SU, Sp. Perio (K) as the member.

The Chairperson of APTKMMI who also the Head of Public Health Study Program, Dr. Sayono pointed out that agenda of Rakernas and Trainer of trainer (TOT) was held for two days from 1-2 August 2018. “This activity attempts to improve good relationship among Muhammadiyah Higher Education Institute organizing Public Health Majority in terms of academic improvement and graduate quality. It is also conducted to succeed in Competency Test of Indonesian Public Health Specialist (UKAKMI) and to support study program accreditation” he explained. “At this point, the most prominent agenda is to ensure lecturers’ skill in designing standard test of UKAKMI, and finally share this knowledge and skill to their home base” he expressed. “This activity also tries to provide students with competency test certification to create professional Bachelor of Public Health. By having certificate as a license, it is expected to guarantee that the graduate really has outstanding expertise in Public Health science. Dr Sayono ended.
Supporting the chairperson of APTKMMI, in his welcoming speech, Rector of Unimus asserted that by providing the graduate sufficient skills and competencies is highly demanding nowadays, especially in this digital era. “Those who do not possess strong competencies in their discipline will be eliminated immediately. After graduating from University, graduate should own The Diploma Supplement accompanies a Higher Education Certificate (SKPI).” he added. “There are several efforts done by the management to get qualified public health majority in Muhammadiyah Higher Education Institution, including re-accreditation. The accreditation, then, help the higher education institution to Quality Assurance and even this is used as the company’s consideration to employee recruitment.” ended the Rector.
