Grobogan │Unimus (06/09/2017) Who doesn’t know Aries Susanti Rahayu, an international athlete of woman speed relay (speed climbing) who won two gold medals in Asian Games 2018? Aries Susanti Rahayu who also had ever gained gold medal in the world sport climbing in speed International Federation of Sport Climbing World Cup 2018 in Chongqing China, recently was visited by Rector of Unimuson Thursday (06/09/2018). Rector accompanied by Vice Rector III, Dean of Faculty of Economics, and Head of Bureau of Academic and Student Affair was to tighten silaturrahim and supported the athlete who was born on Grobogan.

Rector arrived and being warmly welcomed by Aries Susanti Rahayu (also known as) Ayu, Ayu’s parents and relatives in her house. Until today, Ayu is an active students in Management Department of FE (Faculty of Economics) of Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang. Ayu enrolled by using the privilege as athlete such as PERKONI Scholarship. She has been interested and focused on speed climbing since Junior High School. She also explained that since she was kid, she loved climbing trees around her house in Taruman, Klambu Grobogan, her hometown.
Unimus is proud of Ayu’s achievement in winning gold medal in Asian Games 2018 and Sport Climbing World Cup 2018 in China. For this outstanding achievement, Unimus offered a full scholarship to Ayu. “Unimus would give Ayu scholarship to continue her bachelor degree in Unimus and it is expected that Ayu would like to be lecturer in Faculty of Economics, of course, after she is succeed in accomplishing her master degree.” said Rector. Prof. Masrukhi also understand that Ayu is very busy, “Ayu is also able to learn by e-learning/distant learning system while having rehearsals and competitions.

A girl who always wear hijab in every competition responded positively for the offering “I would like to thanks to my coaches and everyone who supports me so far. Thank you for all the academic society of Unimus for your support and attention.” she said. “I am trying to accomplish my study immediately during my rehearsal schedule.” She added. Ayu admitted that she has no idea about spending the bonus from President Jokowi for her acquisition of gold medals.
