Semarang │UNIMUS (September 4, 2017) Rector of Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (Unimus) accompanied by the vice rectors opened symbolically the New Student Admission Ceremony in academic year 2017/18 by banging a gong. As many as 2.445 new students of attended the Orientation of Organizations and Study Programs (ORASI) in the campus yard of Unimus.
ORASI will be held for 5 days from September 4 (today) to September 8, 2017, which will be closed with an inauguration night on Saturday, September 9, 2017. The agenda also consist of university-level, faculty-level, and study program-level ORASI and Ta’aruf Period (MASTA) for two days on September 8-9, 2017.
Prof. Dr. Masrukhi, M.Pd., the Rector of Unimus, told the committee to hold fun activities without any violences. He stated that the orientation was the very early step for the students to prepare themselves to enter the college world. “New students are expected to adjust themselves with the Islamic campus environment (obeying Islamic values). We hope you can learn to be relaxed, happy, and able to develop your potencies with the guidances of the lecturers and administrative staff members at Unimus” he added. The rector advised the news students to attend properly the orientations, as an effort to adjust with the new environment.
