Unimusǀ Semarang (September 28, 2017) Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (Unimus) held a training on proposal writing for the Student Creativity Program (Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa-PKM) provided for the supervisors of the Student Creativity Program. This training was located in the hall of the Nursing Research Center (NRC) building at Unimus. The activity was aimed to equip the supervisors with skills and knowledge to guide and supervise the students in making proposals so that they would be able to write, have creative ideas, as well as produce quality proposals.  The event was opened by Prof. Dr. Masrukhi, M.Pd., the rector of Unimus, witnessed by heads of study program, supervising lecturers, and lecturers of Research Method subject at Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang. Invited to become the guest speaker was Tommi Yuniawan, M.Hum, an expert in the Student Creativity Program from the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education.

Through the training, the lecturers are expected to be able to upgrade their knowledge on how to guide the students succeed their proposals so that receiving grants from the Directorate of Higher Education (Dikti). The training was also to prepare the students to be ready to write proposals of the Student Creativity Program in 2017 organized by Dikti. The attempt was made to improve the achievements of Unimus students dealing with the proposals for the program. Entitled, “Becoming Highly-achieving and Creative through the Student Creativity Program Grants, it’s also an effort to make the students be more creative.

 

The guest speaker shared tricks and tips to succee the proposal of the Student Creativity Program

Rector of Unimus stated that Student Creativity Program was one of prestigious parameters of students’ achievements. “Unimus tries to always guide the students’ proposals for the Student Creativity Program in order to foster the cultures of research and writing as well as to increase the achievements in the Student Creativity Program. Advising lecturers will contribute towards the proposals’ qualities as they will guide the students to write proposals, while expecting that they will also be selected in the National Student Scientific Week (Pekan Ilmiah Mahasiswa Nasional (PIMNAS))” the rector added. Tommi Yuniawan, as the guest speaker, shared knowledge and strategic tips to write proposals for various schemes of the Student Creativity Program. “When writing a proposal for the Student Creativity Program, you shouldn’t only pay attention to the rules but also the completeness of it in order to get optimal score,” Tommi explained.
