Executice Vice Chairman ERICAN Education Group Malaysia dan Wakil Rektor I Unimus Semarang │ May 7, 2017 University of Muhammadiyah Semarang (Unimus) starts cooperation with Erican College Malaysia and The Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language in Indonesia (TEFLIN). The MoU signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Sri Darmawati, M.Si. as the Vice Rector I of Unimus (Vice Rector for Academic Affairs), Prof. Aslam Khan Bin Samahs Khan as the Executive Vice Chairman of ERICAN Education Group, Malaysia and Dr. Issy Yuliasri, M.Pd. as the TEFLIN Coordinator for Central Java (Dr. Issy Yuliasri, M.Pd). The event was also attended by the senior leaders and students of the university as well as the participants and presenters of the 1st English Language and Literature International Conference (ELLiC). The signing ceremony was held prior to the opening of ELLiC, taking place in the NRC Building at Unimus.

TEFLIN Coordinator for Central Java dan Wakil Rektor I UnimusThe partnership was initiated by the Faculty of Foreign Language and Culture (FBBA) and the International Relations Office of Unimus, in accordance with one of 3 (three) obligations of higher education, which is Education. Focuses of the cooperation are English development and English learning quality improvement. It is expected that there will be improvements in the English learning quality and skills of the lecturers and students at Unimus. The initiation is also an effort to implement the credo of Unimus, “Unimus toward Excellent Quality”, as well as to give shape to one of Unimus’ visions, which is becoming international-minded.
