Semarang¦(28/05/2018) AKBP Drs. M.Toha M.M. (Director of Community Development of the Central Java Regional Police), representing the Central Java Regional Chief of Police (Irjen Pol Drs. Condro Kirono, M.M., M. Hum.), spoke as an invited speaker in Gebyar Ramadhan 1439 H event at Universitas Muhamadiyah Semarang, Monday, may 28, 2018. Themed “Human Crimes in the Modern Era”, the event was held in Attaqwa Unimus Mosque after Dzuhur prayer. Prof. Dr. Masrukhi M.Pd. (Rector of Unimus), as well as the vice rectors, lecturers, educational staff, and students of Unimus (around 300 people) attended the event.

AKBP Drs. M. Toha, M.M., in his speech, appealed to the students to be not too easy to provoke by radical groups with their radical principles that could break the unity of the nation. Academicians were expected to also help keep the public security and order such as by obeying the law, becoming role models in the surroundings, not provoked by irresponsible groups, always reminding each other to not be influenced by radicalism and any anarchic acts, and avoiding any kind of misunderstanding. “In this modern era, crimes have been getting more and more complex. There are conventional crimes such as robbery and theft as well as transnational Cybercrimes, narcotics, trafficking, and terrorism from irresponsible people,” AKBP Toha added. He asked the students keep alert and not become the victims as well as the perpetrators. Also in using social media, do not spread hoaxes. Remember to check before you share. ”If you happen to see people in your surroundings are dealing with some suspicious activities, care with it by making report to the nearest police station or Babinkamtibmas (frontline community policing officers) in village offices who will be ready to help anytime,” AKBP Toha closed.
