
Semarang, February 18th, 2017 University of Muhammadiyah Semarang (Unimus) held the 10th professional oath ceremony for 11 doctors from the Faculty of Medicine. This event was held at Grasia Hotel, Semarang, attended by the Chairman of Muhammadiyah Provincial Executive Board of Central Java (Drs. H. Tafsir, M.Ag.,), the Vice Director of Tugurejo Semarang Regional Public Hospital, the Division Head of Medical Resources of Central Java Provincial Health Office, Unimus’ Rector represented by the Vice Rector III (Drs. Samsudi Rahardjo, MM., MT.), the Dean of Faculty of Medicine ( Prof Dr. dr. Rifqi Muslim, Sp.B., Sp.U.), as well as the senators and all other academicians of the faculty.
“The professional oath is seen as not the end of journey of those taking the oath but the beginning of their career as a doctor, which is expected to do the job professionally and with full of dedication and indiscriminately” expressed the Vice Rector III in his speech.

On the other hand, dean of the Faculty of Medicine stated that: since the first year of the faculty (2008), many of its graduates have worked as doctors either within the country or overseas. And, the faculty always tries to help the people to become healthier people, in line with Muhammadiyah’s motto, which is to work for sake of the universe, including His people and Indonesian People, and believe in what He has given. Meanwhile, the new guardian lecturer (dr. Tjatur Sembodo) stated that graduate doctors or new doctors are competent doctors, who have been tested. He also stated that there are 5 aims of the establishment of Indonesian Doctor Education, such as:

– Professional
– Ethical
– Having good managerial ability
– Having good leadership
