Candi Baru | Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (Unimus) collaborates with Indonesian Police Academy (AKPOL). Tuesday, (7/8/2018) the signing of Memorandum of Action (MoA) with Akpol Semarang was accomplished. There were Drs. Samsudi Rahardjo, M.M., M.T as the representative of Unimus and Police Great Commissioner Suhendri, S.H., S.IK. as the representative of Akpol Semarang and also serves as the Commander of Students Regiment. This event was supported by the Director of International Relation Office (IRO) of Unimus, M. Yusuf, Ph.D, Head of Bureau of Academic and Students Affairs (BAAK), Rosita Lihasari, S.Sos, M.Si Head of Sub-department for Development and Cadet and Students Corps for Development of Akpol, AKBP R. Bambang Tjahjo Bawono, SIK, SH, MHum, MSi with his staff.

This MoA aims at developing and providing training to reveal students’ talent and interest in Marching Band. Unimus will be fully assisted by Akpol cadets in organizing Marching Band (Transfer Knowledge process), Kombes Polisi Suhendri, SH, S.IK stated that this collaboration is a good beginning to tighten the relationship between Unimus and Indonesian Police Academy. “Besides, this process would helps students to be more discipline and enhance their love for the country of Indonesia,” he added.
Whereas Vice Rector III of Unimus expressed that “Marching Band Transferring Knowledge” is expected to develop the function of Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi (Three Pillars of Higher Education) for both parts (Unimus and Akpol Semarang. The establisment of UKM Marching Band is hoped to be the distinguished icon for Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang. Next, Marching Band will be projected to be a good beginning to realize “Unimus for the excellence” elaborated Vice Rector III of Unimus. After MoA signing, hopefully there will be socialization and rehearsal of Marching Band.
