Surabaya│Unimus (15/09/2018) All praise to Allah the Almighty, another achievement in International Tapak Suci Championship was gained by Unimus students. At this occasion, Ancon Subekti, student of Electronic Engineering of Unimus had successfully won international championship of Tapak Suci. Ancon won gold medal in the Airlangga Tapak Suci University Open International Championship 2018 in Universitas Airlangga Surabaya on Friday (14/09/2018). He beat his competitors from Universitas Ahmad Dahlan on 60-64 kg male class (class D for Male). Previously, Ancon defeated his rivals from Universitas Muhammadiyah Surabaya, STIE Tuban and Universitas Jember. Ancon is successfully won the gold medal after beating his outstanding rival on 12-14 September 2018, joined by at least 215 participants and 27 contingent from five countries such as Indonesia, Timor Leste, Malaysia, Singapore and Belgium.
Ancon expressed his greatest gratitude and happiness in winning the championship. “Alhamdulillah I am so happy and grateful for this achievement. This is my first international championship and I win the first medal,” Ancon said. “Surely I will keep on trying and practicing to be Pelatnas athlete and make Indonesia’s name in fame in another international events,” he ended.

Rector of Unimus also expressed his gratitude for the achievement made by Unimus students. He also stated that Tapak Suci becomes the basis of character building in Unimus to create tough, confident and strong graduates that are able to face any challenges. Vice Rector for Students Affairs, Drs.
