Semarang  │Unimus (26/10/2018) Midwifery Profession Education Study Program is a brand new health study program to facilitate students in increasing their midwifery competence which is in line with the outcome of the Indonesian National Qualification Framework in Higher Education curriculum. This study program aims at preparing students to have specific qualification as the requirement of midwifery expertise.

Field evaluation process in laboratory of midwifery profession education by assessors.

Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (Unimus) tries to develop new study program that focuses on health by establishing Midwifery Profession Education Study Program. In order to be able to establish new study program, such field evaluation needs to be conducted by  evaluation and visitation from the Indonesian Accreditation Agency for Higher Education in Health (LAMPTKes).

On Thursday (25/10) three (3) assessors from LAMPTKEs perform field evaluation/observation to check the readiness of midwifery profession education program in Unimus. They are Dr. drg. Mia Damiyanti, M.Med., Endang Surani, S.SiT., .M.Kes. and Eny Suryani, M.Mid. Besides, Siti Nurul Jannah, M.Eng from LLDikti also present to supervise the evaluation. They are warmly welcomed by Rector, Vice Rectors, and board of Unimus Executive at rectorate building before performing the assessment.

In her speech, Siti Nur Jannah from LLDikti Region VI Central Java stated that this evaluation is realized after a very long journey. It was started by sending the document of the new study program establishment proposed by Unimus and recommended by LLDikti. “It is such green lamp from LAMPTKes because now they send their team to evaluate and assess the readiness of this new study program. In addition, Muhammadiyah is very great name and I think Unimus is capable of managing the new study program.” said Siti Nur Jannah. “If we would like to analyze the data from Forlap Dikti, number of midwifery study program in Indonesia is only 20. At least five (5) midwifery study programs exist in Central Java and only two (2) of it has profession education program. So what does it mean? It means that this is great opportunity to Unimus to open this study program. ” she ended. It is also expected that the result of the evaluation would bring positive recommendation and this study program will be realized immediately.
