IMG-20161114-WA0001On Oktober 29-31, 2016 the 5th International Conference on Humanity and Culture was held in San Francisco, the United States of America by the International Economics Development Research Center. On the conference ,the discussions were about the humanitarian issues, equality, civil rights, women and gender, culture, employment, citizenship and well as world population. Moh. Yamin Darsyah, a receiver of a research grant from the Directorate General of Higher Education (Dikti), also the Unimus’ delegate and the one and only representative of the Republic of Indonesia in Indonesia proudly presented his research result on the Women’s Independence in Economic Activities in Indonesia (Kemandirian Perempuan dalam kegiatan ekonomi di Indonesia.)

The research on it was conducted in Blora Regency, Central Java Province, Indonesia, which resulted in a conclusion that educational background and family supports from the family influenced the independence of women in doing economic activities. The meeting was continued on the International Forum meeting of the Members of the Economics Research Center on November 2-4, 2016 in New York. The topics of discussion were cooperation in research collaborations, research result publishing, as well as annual conference.

Moh. Yamin Darsyah, who is now the Head of the Study Program of the Undergraduate Degree in Statistics, the University of Muhammadiyah Semarang, emphasized the importance of being active in either international forum meetings or conferences for a lecturer, considering that in the global era that chances for cooperation were more open, any research results as well as cooperation would contribute toward the advancement of the nation.

He also thanked to the Directorate General of Higher Education, Semarang City Government and the University of Muhammadiyah Semarang for the supports and helps.
