Aries Susanti Rahayu smiled from ear to ear after winning the gold medal in speed climbing number (doc Antara)

Unimus│ (24/08/2018) Aries Susanti Rahayu, student of Management Study Program, Faculty of Economics (FE) in Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (Unimus) successfully won gold medal in woman’s speed relay (speed climbing) during the Asian Games 2018 at Jakabaring, Palembang. Aries brought the 8th Gold medal for Indonesia on Wednesday (23/08/2018).

Aries, the third batch students in Management Study Program in FE Unimus beat her colleague, Puji Lestari with record of 7,61 seconds. Previously, she met Song Yiling from China in semifinal round and be the champion with record of 7,64 seconds and finally went to final to compete with Indonesian athlete also.

Rector of Unimus, Prof. Dr. Masrukhi., M.Pd. showed his gratitude for Aries’ extraordinary achievement that is not only make the institution proud, but also people of Indonesia. Rector of Unimus would give the scholarship to Aries in continue her study in Unimus. “I have talked to Aries by phone and invited her to campus but she felt sorry for her schedule is very crowded,” Rector said. He, then expected that Aries is going to improve her achievement both in speed climbing sport and in academic matter. Basically, Unimus would absolutely support its students to achieve better academic and non-academic stuff.
