Lina Sandgren and Director of Unimus IRO received by headmaster and teachers of SMAN2 Kendal

Kendal (May 14, 2018) The organizer of Unimus Go To School “Sharing with Native Speaker” Program organized by the International Relations Office and the Faculty of Foreign Language and Culture at Unimus collaborated with Lina Sandgren from Sweden during a visit at SMAN 2 Kendal (a state senior high school in Kendal Regency). Lina Sandgren was welcomed warmly by Yuniasih, S.Pd., M.Pd., the headmaster of the school, along with and the teachers and students. The event began at 9 a.m. with a formal reception the headmaster’s room with the introduction of various kinds of traditional food.

“This program is to support the school to empower the English learning, and as a way of promoting Unimus at school as well,” Muhammad Yusuf, Ph.D., the director of the International Relations Office stated. The school headmaster expressed her gratitude to Unimus for facilitation the school with “Unimus Go to School” program. “This event has many benefits and gives opportunity for students to interact directly with a native teacher” Sigit, S.Pd. (she school’s English Teacher) said.

In addition to presentation and role play in English, conversation and writing sessions were also held. Lina Sandgren was also greeted with some traditional dance and student creative product fair. Lina Sandgren is a voluntary native speaker teaching in in the Faculty of Foreign Language and Culture during the period of May 2-25, 2018.
