Semarang │(28/04/2019) Student Sports Week (POM) is the annual agenda organised by Kemenristekdikti started with several activities in regional level to be competed in the next selection. Self improvement and development through Student Sports Week is a place to improve their competence, especially their soft skills (sportive, independent, responsibility, and lifeskill). This competition also promotes student to be determined in facing the dynamic of life. The event was conducted for 10 days from 22 April 2019. From 19 sports, Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang won 10 medals. It consisted of 7 gold medals and 3 bronze medals. Thus, Unimus is in the 7th rank out of 60 State/Private Universities. Seven gold medals from chess (2 gold medals), pencak silat (2 gold medals), rock climbing (2 gold medals) and tarung derajat (1 gold medal). Whereas, bronze medal were achieved through table tennis, pencak silat, and speed climbing.
One gold medal from Tarung Sport was achieved by Mellyna Nur Rochmah (4th semester student of S1 Public Health) in 58-62 kg woman freestyle class. Next, in speed climbing sport, one gold medal was achieved by Abdi Putra Pamungkas (4th semester student of S1 Electronic Engineering), he won first winner in “lead” and “boulder” class for men. Whereas, one bronze medal was dedicated by Rian Adi Saputra (2nd semester student of S1 Mechanical Engineering). In Pencak Silat sport, gold medal was delivered by Salsabil Ajie Prayoga (4th semester student of S1 Faculty of Medicine) for class H man and Ega Natasyah (2nd semester student of S1 Management) for class C Woman, bronze medal was achieved by Adinda Mei Ezzah Noor Rohman (2nd semester student of D4 TLM) in class D woman. The next bronze medal was achieved through table tennis by Maluk Jalaludin (4th semester student of D3 TLM) in class single man. In addition, two gold medals were delivered through chess sport by Mohammad Guswan Azis (4th semester student of S1 Faculty of Medicine). Barakallah, congratulation for the achievement.
