Prof. H. Lincolin Arsyad Ph.D. and the Secretary of Muhammadiyah’s Council of Higher Education, Research and Development Accompanied by the Vice Rector I and the Vice Rector II

SEMARANG (KRjogja.com) – The Head of Muhammdiyah’s Council of Higher Education, Research and Development, Prof. H. Lincolin Arsyad, Ph.D. and the council’s Secretary, Mohammad Sayuti, M.Pd., M.Ed., Ph.D. expressed his great expectation on the quality improvement of the entire 177 Higher Education institutions of Muhammadiyah (PTM), which were already great in quantity, by improving the human resources’ qualities and quantities, academic cultures as well as the governance of the human resources and finances.

In addition, Prof. Lincolin also stated that the character of each PTM needed to be made clearer, or focusing more to some certain knowledge field in order to improve its competitiveness.

“The Higher Education Council pushes every lecturer of the PTMs to become a doctor and reach the highest academic rank, Professor, as anyone who has made a commitment to become a lecturer should have a future goal, which is to reach the peak position, Professor. Muhammadiyah wants each of its PTM to become strong, competitive and progressive,” said Prof. Lincolin when delivering his speech in a Muhammadiyah’s Lecturer Coaching event held by the University of Muhammadiyah Semarang (Unimus) at campus 1.

As, private institutions, as Prof. Lincolin said, PTMs were flexible to manage and improve their qualities. “I believe in 10 years there will be many PTMs that exceed public universities (PTN) in case of quality as long as the policies regarding to the human resources development are on the right track.
