Semarang | Talking about silaturahim (friendship), there must be lots of benefits that we can get, for example, the newly established institutional friendship between Universitas Muhammadiyah Sidoarjo (Umsida) and Unimus in terms of student affairs. The meeting between the two institutions was attended by Dr.Hindarto, S.Kom., M.T. (Vice Rector III of Umsida), accompanied by Hamzah Setiawan, S.Kom (Head of Technical Unit of Student Affairs) and Muhammad Ali, S.Pd. and Edwin Tinda, S.Pd. (his staff members) in the meeting room of Unimus on Friday, March 16, 2018.
Their visit was received enthusiastically by Unimus, represented by Drs. Samsudi Rahardjo, M.M., M.T. (Vice Rector III of Unimus), Rosita Lihasari, S.Sos., M.Si. (Bureau Head of Academic Administration and Student Affairs), Ns. Yunie Armiyati, M.Kep, Sp.KMB (Head of the Technical Unit of Public Relations and Protocol), and Muhammad Yusuf, Ph.D. (Director of Unimus International Relations Office).
On the occasion, the focuses of discussion were internationalization and scholarship. “Unimus along starting to go international through some programs, such as Go International with Unimus, International Sister School, International Mobility Program, and Edutour of Unimus. Unimus is ready to company Umsida for internationalization,” stated the Director of the IRO. In the visit also, the delegation of Umsida also share with Unimus about the excellence of their integrated information system for student activities, e.g. Student Achievement Information System (simpresmawa), Student Organization Emails, and etcetera. Besides, the meeting was also used to discuss various programs of scholarships that can be accessed by students. It is hoped that in the future, the institutional friendship can become more and more symbiotic to each other for the sake of the institutions’ gains.
