Semarang | As the manifestation and efforts to reduce maternal mortality rate, the Undergraduate Nursing program of FIKKES (Faculty of Nursing and Health) Unimus held a seminar entitled “Evidence Based Practice on Management of Hypertensive Disorder in Pregnancy or Preeklampsia/Eklampsia and ZOOM (Zero Mother Mortality Preeclampsia) Program to Reduce Maternal Mortality Rate (AKI)”, on Saturday (22/12/2018). It was held in RSGM Hall of Unimus, and participated by at least 300 participants from students, lecturers, and health workers. This seminar invited Prof. Dra. Setyowati, S.Kp, M.App. Sc., Ph.D (Professor in Maternity Nursing from Universitas Indonesia) as the keynote speaker entitled “Peran Perawat Dalam Menurunkan AKI Pada Program ZOOM”.

Vice Rector I Unimus, Dr. Sri Darmawati, M.Si attended the agenda and gave welcoming speech to the audience. She said that this program was good to commemorate Mother’s Day. “I do hope that every woman in the world can be great and tough mother so that they can deliver and raise great generation”, she ended. Furthermore, Dr. Sri Darmawati, M.Si. said that this seminar is important since maternal mortality rate in Indonesia is relatively high.

The discussion was divided into parallel session featuring four speakers, such asdr. Putri Sekar Wiyanti, Sp. OG (K) (Social Obstetrics and Gynecology – RSUP Kariadi/FK Undip Semarang) entitled “Penguatan Diagnosis Dasar Sebagai Upaya Preventif Dalam Menurunkan Kematian Ibu (Preeklampsia/Eklampsia)”; Dra. Condro Rini,M.Kes (Vice Chairperson of The Family Welfare Movement or Tim Penggerak PKK for Central Java) entitled “Tata Laksana Nutrisi Pada Ibu Hamil Dengan Preeklampsia”; Dr. Sri Rejeki, M.Kep. Sp. Mat (Vice Rector II Unimus) entitled “Preeklampsia Berat Pasca Persalinan – Pendekatan Asuhan Keperawatan), and Ns. Machmudah, M.Kep., Sp.Kep.Mat (Lecturer of FIKKES Unimus) entitled “Aplikasi Teori Keperawatan Pada Asuhan Keperawatan Ibu Hamil Dengan PEB”.
