
Semarang | Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang collaborates with Central Java Regional Police to make the governance and sovereignty of law and also security become the community culture. The MoU signing has been held between Dra. AKBP Dwi Ratna, the Division Head of Community Development at Central Java Regional Police representing the Head of Central Java Regional Police, and Dr. Sri Darmawati, M.Si, the Vice Rector I of Unimus representing the Rector of Unimus, on Thursday, July 5, 2018.
The synergy between higher education and law enforcement apparatus also is aimed at strengthening law-abiding culture and realizing the stability of areal security simultaneously. ”Unimus highly appreciates Central Java Regional Police, most primarily, because the purpose would be extensive,” the Vice Rector I stated. On the occasion, AKBP Dwi Ratna admitted that the synergy could be manifested in form of general lectures for Unimus’ students with speakers from the Regional Police. The purpose is to share more information on the role of the police and the realization of law-abiding culture in the society.

The partnership will also make it possible for Unimus’ academicians to collaborate in the Three Obligations, including collaborations in Education, Research, and Community Service. The Vice Rector added that science and knowledge of the academicians would be more useful for the society with this step. “Known as having a big attention to health and medical fields, Unimus is professionally keen to help the Police to do the tasks in the area. Nowadays, Unimus has also helped the Police in terms of personnel’s career improvement of Central Java Regional Police through continual study at Unimus,” she explained.
