Semarang | 6 Desember 2016 Diploma III in Medical Laboratory Technology, or previously named the Diploma III in Health Analyst, of the Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciences (Fikkes) of the University of Muhammadiyah Semarang (Unimus) held a workshop on the Learning Outcomes today, in collaboration with the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Educational Institutions for Health Analyst of Indonesia (AIPTAKI) in the medical laboratory building. The event was attended by the Vice Rector I (Dr. Sri Darmawati, M.Si.), the Vice Rector II (Dr. Hj. Sri Rejeki, S.Kp., M.Kep., Sp.Mat.), the Dean of Fikkes (Dr. Budi Santosa, M.Kes.Med.), the Study Program Head of the Diploma III in Medical Laboratory Technology (Herlisa Anggraeni, S.K.M, M.Si.Med.) Dr. Dhany Rachmawan, S.H., M.H. as the representative of Directorate General of Learning and Students Affairs (Belmawa), the stakeholders and some other parties including the users, the alumni, the administrative staff, the Institute of Educational Development and Quality Assurance (LP3M), the study program secretary and the lecturers of Unimus

The Workshop and Discussion of the Learning Outcomes in the Diploma III in Medical Laboratory Technology of Unimus

Workshop aimed at formulating the learning outcomes, which would be used as a reference of learning materials not only within the university but also throughout the nation, primarily in the area of the Diploma III in Medical Laboratory Technology. Besides, the discussion about how to improve the Diploma III in Medical Laboratory Technology in the future as well as about the outcomes of profiles of the graduates.

The workshop was held prior to the next event, the learning curriculum formulation. The learning outcomes formulation, which will be used and as a reference for all higher educational institutions in Indonesia, still need to be reviewed by the users, alumni and association so that it can fulfil the needs of the community that can improve the quality of education in the nation, especially in the medical and health field. Besides, to reach the expected learning outcomes, a Graduate Profile and a learning outcome formulation is required. And, knowledge and special skills should have also been added and integrated to each other in the plan of the learning outcomes so that the graduates can compete with graduates of the same field abroad.
