Rector of Unimus, Prof. Dr. Masrukhi and Vice Rectors, Dean of Faculty of Nursing and Health Sciencesa, and Director of International Relation Officer (IRO) of Unimus delivered the Letter of Assignment to Nutritional Science Students as the participants of International Short Course in Chulalongkorn University of Thailand

Internationalisation program conducted by Unimus is such an effort to give greater value and impact to numbers of the academic society in Unimus. By going aboard, visiting another country will open their mind about international competition. At least 30 students from Nutritional Science Department joined international mobility program to Chulalongkorn University of Thailand. Students were discharged by the Rector of Unimus, Prof. Dr. Masrukhi, M.Pd accompanied by the Vice Rectors, and Executive Director of International Relation Officer of Unimus, Muhammad Yusuf PhD, secretary of Nutritional Science Departmenton Monday Senin (27/08/2018) after doa pagi. Those student would visit Nutrition and Dietetic, and Halal Center Chulolongkorn University Thailand from 3-5 September 2018.

Rector of Unimus, accompanied by Director of IRO expressed that Unimus has tighten its relationship and networking with several institutions especially those focused on medical and health. “Unimus as the higher education institution that focused more on medical and health science has made intrusive rocks to build relationship or MoU with similar higher education institution in Asia, Australia, and Europe,” said the Rector. Unimus has MoU with Chulalongkorn, the biggest university in Thailand. “This program is successfully organised because we has made good relationship with Chulalongkorn University. In addition, it is because of our never-ending effort in building global network,” added Prof. Masrukhi. Again, according the Rector, Chulalongkorn university is chosen because it is one of the biggest universities in Thailand. Besides, it has great concern in health and medical science. They also has extremely sophisticated laboratory ever. “Nutritional Science Department in Chulalongkorn University is very popular, it is expected that our students will get any benefit by observing and learning best practice about food technology by visiting Halal Science Centre (HSC). Luckily that the Director of HSC Chulalongkorn University is the grandchild of former Muhammadiyah founder, Prof. Winai Dahlan. He is also the pioneer of producing halal food in Thailand,” added the Rector.

At least 30 students of Nutritional Science Department participating in International Short Course in Chulalongkorn University of Thailand took picture with the Secretary of Nutritional Science Department, Lecturers, and Director of IRO Unimus.

Prof. Masrukhi expected that this program would give any good experience and broader knowledge to students internationally. “We strongly hope that our students would not only good at mastering one branch of science, but they also become strong muslim so that they are able to compete with any students from various universities,” ended the Rector. In the similar occasion, Director of IRO Unimus, M. Yusuf, Ph.D asserted that students character could be built by experiencing and getting along with many people with many perspectives from various places around the world. “Next, Unimus will reflect that every students and lecturers in Unimus will be demanded to experience going international. Thus, several years later, 5 of 10 people in Unimus has international experience. Today, Faculty of Dentistry and Faculty of General Medicine have conducted international program so all of them have passports,” he ended.
