Director General of Belmawa Kemenristekdikti hold annual Outstanding Student Selection (Mawapres). This selection is conducted to give appreciation to such students who have outstanding achievement in curricular, cocurricular, and extra curricular activities. Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang (Unimus) also selected the students from study program level to university selection in order to send representatives to LLDIKTI before going for the National Level. From the selection, Indira Aura Balqis, Unimus Medicine Student won the 3rd Mawapres Jawa Tengah conducted by LLDIKTI Regional VI on Monday (8/4/2019). Juries consisting of Prof.Dr. Sukarno (UTM), Prof.Dr. Darsono (UNS) and Dr. Tommi Yuniawan (UNNES) declared Indira to be the 3rd position after presenting her outstanding scientific work entitled “Capsalvia: Utilization of Chia Seeds for Coronary Heart Disease Therapy and Prevention”. This achievement strenghtens Unimus in term of student affair.
The fourth semester of Faculty of Medicine in Unimus had successfully selected to be the best three of 15 nominees from another private universities around Central Java in final. Indira explained that her interest of studying about Chia seed for Preventing Corronary Heart Disease because chia seed has antiaterosklerosis. “Based on data from National Basic Health Research 2018 stated that Corronary Health Disease (PJK) is the highest killing disease in the world. Capsalvia contains Chia seed oil that has unsaturated acid, omega-3 and antioxidant with antiatherosklerosis because it decrease Low Density Lipid level and hinder oxidative” she elaborated. Indira will represent Central Java for the National selection in this year themed “Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (Sustainable Development Goals/SDGs)”.

On Monday (15/4/2019), Indira Aura Balqis delivered her certificate of appreciation to Prof. Dr. Masrukhi, M.Pd. At that time, Prof. Masrukhi said that Mawapres selection is prestigious event. “This selection includes curricular, co curricular, and extracurricular activities that can be seen from academic work, video and organization. Having presentation in international conference is also prestigious, so we have to get used to it. Let’s pray that Indira can reach success in Mawapres selection in National level,” he ended.
