Rector of Unimus Prof. Dr. Masrukhi welcomed and opened the National Seminar

Semarang|Unimus (05/10/2018) Developing relationship is very necessary for the sake of institution development. In order to improve Three Pillars of Higher Education (education, research, and community service), Faculty of Economics of Universitas Muhammadiyah Semarang sign the MoU with PT. Semen Indonesia. Both institution signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) to tighten their relationship.

Faculty of Economics in Unimus tried to increase graduates’ competency in order to globally competence. Not only by improving the learning process in the classroom, but also outside the classroom. In addition, implementing it to the direct internship program in industry sector. The Dean of FE Unimus, Dr. Hardiwinoto, M.Si expected that by signing MoU agenda, FE Unimus graduates will have bigger opportunity to join internship program in PT Semen Indonesia.

Besides signing the MoU, another agenda was national seminar about implementing good corporate governance entitled “Implementasi Good Corporate Governance Dalam Membangun Industri Nasional”. This seminar was organised by Unimus in collaboration with PT. Semen Indonesia. At that moment, this seminar was attended by by Head of Economy Bureau of Central Java, Haeruddin, Agung Wiharto (Corporate Secretary PT Semen Indonesia), and Hendrika N D Sinaga (Assistant Deputy of Deputy of Business Sector Energy, Logistic, Regional and Tourism (ELKP) of Ministry of State Owned Enterprises (Kementerian BUMN), and PT Semen Indonesia. This event was held on Friday (05/10/2018) in RSGM Hall of Unimus and opened by Rector of Unimus, Prof.Dr. Masrukhi, M.Pd. He really appreciated this event and said that this was such a way to improve quality of FE graduates in facing the global competition. “In this globalisation era, in the upcoming 2019, Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education will issue permission for foreign institution establishment in Indonesia.” Said the Rector. This national seminar was participated by at least 250 participants from students, lecturers, general public.
